Workout??
How often do you workout? Should you be working out more? Are you trying to loose/gain weight? What exercises do you do? What motivates you to go?
I try to work out on a regular schedule, although I'm a huge procrastinator and once I get off schedule I tend to do it more and more and its a vicious cycle. I am trying to loose about 5-10 lbs and mostly tone up softer places around the mid section. My biggest hurdle is cravings for carbs, especially at night. I love doing cardio, weight machines, and some free weights. I find that doing about 40 mins of elliptical a day makes me nice and toned, even if do nothing else, as long as I do it continuously. I have found that somewhere between 22-24, my metabolism slowed down drastically and I have been fighting with this extra 5lbs forever. |

I don't work out as much as I should, but I am on a fairly regular schedule. I do more cardio than anything, due to wrestling. That is getting harder and harder though, my knees don't let me run for very long, so I've noticed I do more stuff on the bike and what not. I don't do much heavy lifting, as I go for tone rather than bulk(and am FAILING...lol). But for the most part, I'm in decent shape, just got a little bit of a spare tire to get rid of. I'd like to be about 20lbs lighter, but I can do everything I want to in my matches, and can go a good 20-25 minutes without blowing up, so i consider that a victory.

I used to work out a lot back when i was 18-19. Mainly because I was 25LB underweight. It was very unhealthy. So I worked out and put on some weight... Since then I rarely work out and I know I should try to get into a routine.
My legs are fine though, my campus was on a hill so I got a lot of walking and I used to be a runner. Even in the weight lifting class I took, my legs were hellva lot stronger than I imagined. XD I'll work out with you.. hehe ok that was a cheap line.

I never did until this past summer. I was relatively small guy who did not gain weight but now I been doing stuff on the skiny bastard program. Been concentrating mostly on biceps, triceps and abs which I usually rotate every two days. Run on an elliptical every day though for 45 minutes. If college is going good this semester I plan on taking some BJJ and kick boxing as well. Since I started I gained about 15 pounds of muscle which I thought was pretty good considering I do everything at home.

Don't think i'd wanna train anymore than that. I get sore all the time and need time to recover. Regardless, less is more. No use goin crazy with it. Some of my mate's do 2'fers, the whole 2 workouts a day thing. One morning, one night. Fuck thattt lol What exercises? I stick to the basics. The squats, the deadlifts, the bench presses, dips, militarys, close grips for tris, lat pulldowns etc. But always hard n heavy. I never piss around with shitty weight. No point. Nothing really motivates me anymore in terms of workin out. It's just part of the daily routine. Some people choose to go home and sit on the couch watchin TV after work, i choose to go squat 450lbs instead :P So it's more of a habit. A good habit to have at least. Fitness is a huge part of my life. Both being work and for recreation.

jerome is just crazy anyhow, he built it. now he has to maintain... ill never go that big unless i date a retarded pornstar with no brains and runs through money as if she was Hugh Hefner's girlfriend.
working out is really working out, it shouldnt be put in such a slang term! it should be daily, it should be healthy and safe. diet is key, you can lift and lift and lift, if you are a mcdonalds customer, you will probably look like larry the cable guy. Metabolism is never an issue, people complain... but it isnt an issue at all. you have to fix your lifestyle. 5-6 small meals (like fucking snacks, not 10 lbs of steak and 3 beers being a small meal) and HIGH activity. you have to be moving, not a computer nerd. you have to be active to burn off weight and manage your energy efficently. theres books on this stuff. once you fix your diet, to small and constent, your body will just go on overdrive. so you do fewer meals, but bigger ammounts, just slightly. and keep a constain routine activity level. ask trev, he went through basic training in the army, he knows im not bullshitting anyone. except they starve your ass in basic. simple break down and then build. my work out use to be, 2 hours in the morning, starting at 4am, then 6, eat, 8, have formations, then relax, recover, noon, eat, then 1300, work out till 1400 (variety, i always ran one day, yes for half an hour, then situps and leg lifts. do upper body the next day and switch off) 1500, cool off, hydrate alot, bathroom. 1600 chow again, relax, be a couch potato and then sleep 2100, wake up 0330... start over. no one will do that, but basically, find time to be really active and run. and fix your diet, its all about managing your energy.

I work out pretty much 5-6 days a week now. I know im a small dude, but i won't get as big as Jerome, i doubt my body will maintain that. Im as fit as Bruce Lee in a way. My body type is just like his. im small but when i flex im big.
I mostly work out my chest, arms, bisceps, triceps and shoulders and back.. everyday, i work out my legs every other day. I keep on the same routine all the time for an hour a day. Every other odd day consists of my stomach work out. I use the Ab Coaster which is the best for the abdominal workout, dont know what that is, search it. Best ab cruncher ever. Mostly since im a tiny dude, im a pretty strong guy. I usually curl about up to 40-50lbs.. which is hard but also easy if im good enough. i can usually bench up to about 180lbs which is like 30lbs more than my own weight. Like i said im a small dude. but my legs can handle alot of pressure, i usually leg press up to 350-400lbs. so approx 200lbs per leg. Martial arts had something to do with that lol. Eventually ill become like jerome, mr. built. but i doubt my body will grow that big in short time, everyone comes with time and patience. |

yea, im a "small" body aswell. hope the women dont underestimate us, when we get in the saddle, we go long, and we go fast, and we last.
i use to be 180, then i broke my collar bone and torn the rotater in my shoulder. i cant bench my 250 anymore. im back at 120 warm ups and 150 lbs just to stay in shape. my collar bone is totally fucked, so is the shoulder, it goes out all the time. im back down to 160lbs and run all the time, everyday unless my ankle says no more.

Btw, don't discount us bigger guys in the sack...lol. Well, this bigger guy, anyway. Like I said, my workout is almost strictly cardio. The old saying is "built for go, not for show". Not to discount anyone here, by any means, of course. |

I'm starting to run every day except for sundays.. First day was today, and i haven't done it in months. I'm pretty exhausted but when i run i tend to tone up pretty good around the legs and kinda melt the fat off my belly, i'm not fat or anything but i would like to get rid of some of the softness.. going to do weights 3x a week :P I don't have a goal weight or anything but I wouldn't mind being 98-104 lbs or something like that
